Mr. Utsav Mukherjee

Utsav’s focus areas of practice include general civil litigation with particular emphasis on banking, insolvency, and corporate litigation and advisory services. He is involved in advising and assisting banks and financial institutions in the creation and review of loan documentation, contractual agreements, and ensuring regulatory compliance through periodic due diligence. He has advised various Banks, Financial Institutions, Asset Reconstruction Companies, Resolution Professionals, Committees of Creditors, and Corporate Debtors prior to and during the Corporate Insolvency Resolution Process under the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016, as well as represented them before the Hon’ble Supreme Court, High Courts, NCLAT, NCLT and DRT benches across India for the resolution of complex commercial disputes between banks and borrowers.

Utsav has successfully filed and argued schemes of mergers and amalgamations before the High Courts and NCLT benches throughout India on behalf of numerous corporate clients. He has successfully managed complex corporate litigations pertaining to various facets of company law and allied rules and regulations. He has represented clients in complex national and international arbitrations, including related court processes. He has successfully represented clients before the Competition Commission of India and authorities constituted under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act, 2002.

Utsav’s primary focus is on providing innovative, cost-effective solutions to clients with fast turnaround times. His experience litigating on behalf of large corporate conglomerates and experience as in-house counsel enables him to understand clients’ commercial requirements and provide legal advice and strategies to achieve their commercial objectives.
