Ankita Mohanty is an Advocate with almost 15 years of experience focused exclusively on intellectual property, advising businesses on the protection, enforcement, and commercialisation of their IP.

Her practice spans trademarks, copyright, domain name disputes, IP contracts, and general brand protection, with particular depth in strategy and portfolio management. She advises clients across the full IP lifecycle: clearance, adoption and prosecution, portfolio management, enforcement, and commercialisation.

Ankita has advised start-ups, established Indian businesses, and Fortune 500 companies, managing complex IP portfolios and developing protection strategies across industries and jurisdictions. Her international practice includes coordinating cross-border trademark protection and enforcement with counsel across Asia (including SAARC), Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and the United States, including through the Madrid Protocol.

A graduate of Campus Law Centre, University of Delhi, Ankita began her career with leading IP firms of India before holding senior roles at established Indian law firms. After more than a decade of specialist IP practice, she founded AMara Law as an independent, partner-led intellectual property practice.
